The population of Kundal is near about 25,000. There are eight primary schools in the village one of which is run by the same institution, one by other institution and other five are run by Z.P. The High-schools and Junior college is also run by Gandhi Education Society, Kundal. Before 1998, the education facility was available upto 12th standard. Many of the interested students had to give up the studies because no higher education facility was available and others had to go outside. The most suffered were the girls, as they were not allowed to travel so far to seek the higher education. Gandhi Education Society, Kundal took this need into consideration and Krantiagrani Dr. G. D. Bapu Lad Mahavidyalaya, Kundal was established in July 1998 as per Govt. of Maharashtra Resolution.
